This is in almost all respects like a flawless American hotel, only that it is staffed by incredibly friendly and helpful Costa Ricans, which makes it about the best combination you can imagine. The shuttle bus to the hotel runs regularly at 30 minute intervals, but if there is space you can also take the Fairview Shuttle as the hotels are next to each other. Wifi at the hotel is free and fast (I wish that was true in the US as well!), breakfast is excellent and filling - with a waffle station, someone who prepares great omelettes, and great coffee as you'd expect in Costa Rica. You can walk to the City Mall, although slightly inconveniently because it's along the highway, or if you need to do any shopping, there's a Walmart close by. Across from the hotel there are a few restaurants that offer reasonable dinner options if you don't want to eat at the hotel itself, although the restaurant there is fine. The fitness centre has the usual dreadmills and some dumbbells but will do for when you're "on the road."

I stayed at the Marriott for one night in September. The hotel is close to the airport and has an airport shuttle which was appreciated as my flight arrived at night. Check in and out was a breeze and the staff were professional and friendly. The room was adequate in size, the shower was hot and the bed was comfortable but the most important thing was the hotel was CLEAN and immaculate. You could smell that the room Had been cleaned which is important due to the times we now live in. The hotel also has a restaurant, I only had a light breakfast but the service was good and the restaurant was clean. Thank you to the hardworking staff who made my stay comfortable. I will definitely use this hotel on my next trip to Costa rica.

We wanted to stay near the airport on our last night and this hotel was wonderful! Staff was very friendly and the room comfortable and clean. There is a restaurant on site and the breakfast buffet is wonderful with a lot of options to choose from. But if looking for something different, just across from it, a few steps away, there are several restaurants (Peruvian, Argentinian and Mexican). There's also a Walmart next door, which is very convenient to stock up on snacks before the flight. The shuttle to the airport is very convenient and it was on-time.

I love the Courtyard for an overnight stay before or after a flight from SJO airport! It is the closest hotel (literally 5 minutes drive) plus they offer an airport shuttle that comes around every 30 minutes and collects you for free! I loved the excellent breakfast buffet - for a Courtyard that was a 5-star buffet! I stayed at other higher-ranked hotels with fewer options! Amazing! The staff also is so great, I loved chatting with them. They helped me with some questions unrelated to the hotel - and were very helpful and sweet.

First off the location is great. right across the highway to the airport. That's a big plus because there is a shuttle that will take you directly to the hotel. You don't have to be hassled by the San Jose airport taxi drivers! Next, There is a shopping center with restaurants and a Walmart with a grocery store adjacent to the property. This came in very handy during our stay. The rooms are clean and we even had some tropical birds pay us a visit each morning on our window.
